Cityscape is an annual network marketing exhibition and a conference that focuses on commercial architecture, property investment and development. When it was first launched in 2001, it had witnessed tremendous potential and growth.
Today, Cityscape is the largest business-to-business real estate investment and development event in the world. This exhibition centre had broken all records in 2008, with 70,000 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors from across the globe.
GITEX
GITEX is the biggest and the most successful IT event in the Middle East. It is the foremost international exhibition for computing, communication systems and applications dedicated to the Information Technology (IT) industry.
Festivals
Dubai authorities encourage organizations to implement various festivals and events throughout the year in order to attract tourists and to make sure that their stay will be as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible.

In January and February there are:
Dubai Marathon: it's a charitable funding event in which one can take part in exchange for a small fee with the chance of winning a hefty cash prize.
Dubai Shopping Festival: Throughout January, over two million visitors flock to Dubai for the month-long Shopping Festival,
In February and March there are:
Dubai Desert Classic festival: this is the most popular golfing event in the UAE. The competition is held at the famous Emirates Golf Club and , generally , it attracts many tourists who particularly enjoy the exhilaration on the final day.
Dubai International Jazz Festival: this annual festival is held in Dubai Media City and it appeals to many tourists who have enjoyed the warm friendly atmosphere and the engaging line ups in the past
Dubai Tennis Championships: this is one of the most exciting events that brings together some of the best tennis players in the world.
In March and April there are:
Dubai Art Fair: this event had been held since 2007 at The Madinat Jumeirah. This Art fair lures some of the best artists from around the world,
Dubai Desert Rock: this two-day event in March attracts many tourists who appreciate music festivals around the globe
Emirates World Series-Dubai World Cup: every year Dubai becomes a home for the world's richest horse race. This action takes place at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse,
In April and May there are:
The Bride Show festival: during April, Dubai hosts the annual Bride Show with the main events being held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
Festival of Taste: held at The Madinat Jumeirah, it's is strictly dedicated to the lovers of food.
In June, July and August there are:
Dubai Summer Surprises: known as DSS. . DSS was implemented in order to encourage tourists to visit the peak of Dubai’s heat wave. The 10 weeks of DSS are divided into separate themes such as food, arts, adventure and nature; as well as hotels in the city offer special ‘shopaholic’ packages in order to attract more guests.
In September and October there is:
Motexha Textile Show: this annual trade fair is the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The main fair is located at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
In October and November there are:
Desert Rhythm: this is a two day music festival that's fairly new to Dubai
UAE Desert Challenge: this rally is part of the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup and it is the last race that starts off in Abu-Dhabi and finishes in Dubai ; it lasts for five days and it is very popular among fans of fast cars and bikes.
In November and December there are:
Dubai Rugby Sevens: Dubai Exiles Rugby hosts the first round of the IRB Sevens Series with 16 international teams competing over three days for the prestigious trophy.
Dubai international film festival: it encourages the art-house cinema to get a better recognition of the public through the special guests that attract large audiences.
National Day Festival: is an annual celebration that commemorates the Emirates' independence from Great Britain. In this festival , museums open their doors for the public ; cities lead special events throughout the day.
Religious Festivals
Ramadan: During the month of Ramadan, Muslims must refrain from consuming anything for their pleasure from sunrise to sunset. All forms of food, drink, cigarettes and even sex are prohibited. Non-Muslims in Dubai are also expected to observe the strict abstinence rules during this time
Diwali: It is the Hindu ‘Festival of Lights’. During this festival, bright lights and fireworks are spread around the city. Indian restaurants take part in the celebration across the city; parties are held with traditional desserts offered.
