Islamophobia

Many thoughts pop up in one's mind when you hear the word "Islam". Some feel peace, others feel frightened. Some are familiar to Muslims, Others hate them. It depends in what they saw, hear, and know about Muslims people

In the other side, People are watching what are happening to Muslims in whole world. Many circumstances happened in recent previous time which made Muslims asks why the Swiss Are Afraid of Minarets. Why they make anti-Islamic posters? Why Some European countries prevent veiled girls from entering the school? Why did Marwa El Sherbiny the Egyptian young woman stab to death in a German court by Alex W. in front of her husband and 3 years old son? Are they fear from Islam or it is unwelcomed message to Muslims?

The answer to all Questions we asked before is Islamophobia…

Islamophobia refers to unfounded fear of and hostility towards Islam. Such fear and hostility leads to discriminations against Muslims, exclusion of Muslims from mainstream political or social process, stereotyping, the presumption of guilt by association, and finally hate crimes…But till now a question is still why they afraid from Islam? Is there a real thing that makes some people afraid of Islam?

Let's try to answer This Question and discuss some issues …

Some opinions about banning Minarets in Swiss:

§  Opinion polls of showing a majority of voters would reject a ban were only to be expected, says Zurich political scientist Michael Hermann, when most of the Swiss media had already categorized a ban on minarets as politically incorrect and its supporters stupid.

§  "People aren't necessarily going to tell pollsters the truth if they think it makes them look ignorant and intolerant," explained Mr. Hermann.

§  Hermann Leu, a local People's Party representative from Thurgau canton, described the size of the vote in favor as "a clear sign that the Muslim community must get on with integrating itself right away".

§  “It’s a sad day for freedom of religion,” said Mohammed Shafiq, the chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, a British youth organization. “A constitutional amendment that’s targeted towards one religious community is discriminatory and abhorrent.”

§  “The sponsors of the ban have achieved something everyone wanted to prevent, and that is to influence and change the relations to Muslims and their social integration in a negative way,” said Taner Hatipoglu, president of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Zurich. “Muslims indeed will not feel safe anymore.”

What the Italian interior minister said about Veil?

The Italian interior minister, "Giuliano Amato," he could not oppose the wearing of Muslim women in the country of the veil, because it is a clear and simple that the Virgin Mary the mother of Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him had put the veil on her head, too.

Italy's interior minister was facing a secular extremist tendencies, which calls for addressing the phenomenon of the veil that has spread among the Muslim women in Italy until the Italian women who became Muslim women, and considered to be a serious breach of the culture of Christianity. Giuliano Amato told them: "If the Virgin Mary not wearing a veil let me asks a woman to reject any hijab!"

Italy's interior minister revealed another disaster to the secular extremists, the trend is the emergence of new cultural demands, including "tweaks" in the paintings that show the Virgin Mary Ms. taking the veil on her head and demanded the abolition of this scene and the dissemination of the palettes which is open without a veil!

What Non-Muslims Say about Islam?

§  "No other religion in history spread so rapidly as Islam. The West has widely believed that this surge of religion was made possible by the sword. But no modern scholar accepts this idea, and the Qur’an is explicit in the support of the freedom of conscience." James Michener in ‘Islam: The Misunderstood Religion,’ Reader’s Digest, May 1955.

§  "History makes it clear, however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated." De Lacy O'Leary in 'Islam at the Crossroads,' London, 1923.

§  "I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind.... I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life." Mahatma Gandhi, statement published in 'Young India,'1924.

Do you know what Human rights in Islam are…

§  Freedom of conscience is mandated by the Qur’an: ‘There is no compulsion in religion’ (2.256).

§  The life and property of all citizens in an Islamic state are respected whether a person is Muslim or not.

§  Racism is refused in Muslims principles, as the Qur’an urges equality: ‘O mankind! We created you from a single soul, male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may come to know one another’ (49.13).

Are these rights that Islam gives to all people makes people frightened from Muslims People…!!!
