Faisal Abd al-Kader Al Husseini: Palestinian politician leader.
He was born in Baghdad in 17-7 1940
His father was a commander of local Arab forces and grand-nephew of the Hajj Mohammad Amin al-Husseini, the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.
He moved to Saudi Arabia with his family as a Political refugee.
His father took care of his son and encouraged him to grow up camping, climbing mountains and also recognizing the kinds of stones.
Then he moved to Egypt with his father .While he was in Egypt, at age 8, , his father was martyred during the siege of 1948
He studied in Cairo, Damascus and Aleppo; he met Yasser Arafat when he was in Cairo University

A technician of rays in a hospital of the charity destinations
On a political plane:
« He participated in Arab Nationalist Movement in 1957.
« He participated in the creation and the establishment of the Palestinian student organization 1959.
« Worked in the Office of the PLO in Jerusalem In guidance popular Section 1966.
« He established (Institute of Arab Studies) a part from the Orient House in Jerusalem in 1979 which is a non-profit organization working in the field of information and research.
The institution has been closed by the occupation (Israel) authorities of the year 1987 until 1991, after international pressure and continuous protest local institution reopened in the 1991.

He was speaking Hebrew brilliantly, so he appeared in the Israeli radio and television indicating the Palestinian viewpoint on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He met several leaders and the presidents of other nations.
He was indulgent in his dealings and a tough in his will.

He loved Jerusalem and said about his love:" no longer feel stable except in Jerusalem".

He married to Najat Al-Husseini and had one son named Abdel Kader, and one daughter named Fadwa, both have graduated from Bir Zeit University in Palestine.
What a strange paradox! Faisal was born in Baghdad but died in Kuwait….
He was suffering from asthma and that exposure-days before traveling to Kuwait, as gas got released by the Israeli army in Jerusalem, was the reason of his death.
He died on May 31, 2001
20,000 Palestinians escorted him to his final rested place, and then he was buried in the courtyard of the holy sanctuary beside his father and grandfather. This was the first time that any Palestinian is buried in this place since Israel's occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.
